The Rules

• General rules apply: no god-modding, power-playing or so-on.
  -- No automatic hitting, no automatic dodging. If you think this is happening in your rp, please talk to the staff, and we'll sort it out.
  
  
• Mutants are known in this universe; Xaviers' is known as a mutant school, and while the X-Men are retired, people still remember them.
  
  
• We don't want to get shut down, you don't want to get banned; obey the Proboards TOS.
• No original clones unless approved by staff. (Canon clones, such as Magdelyn Prior, the Stepford Cuckoos, or Laura Howlett, are allowed.)
  
  
• X-Men and Teachers are not the same things. Canon characters can be played as X-Men and/or Teachers; they do not have to be both an X-Man and a Teacher. The X-Men (and Brotherhood) disbanded in Keep Evolving's timeline; many of the X-Men are considered retired superheroes, not active.
• Power levels: be aware of them; a fifteen year old and a thirty year old are not going to have the power level (or finesse and control).
  
  
• When you post your Character Application, title it Last Name, First Name.
  
  
• As Keep Evolving is a mash-up of comic, movie, and cartoon canon, you determine whether that character is rooted in the comics, movies, cartoons, or a mix of all of them. We accept all kinds of continuity so long as it doesn't re-write anyone else's.
  If you're confused, staff can help!
  
  
• Rule of thumb for Keep Evolving's timeline; whatever age your canon character was at during 'their' canon, age them up 30 years. If Scott was twenty, he's now fifty, ect. There is some wiggle room with this rule by a few years, depending on the character and their application.
  
  
• If you want an OC to be a retired X-Man, that's fine, but they have to be aged up appropriately. We'll introduce younger mutants as X-Men when the site plot gets going.
  --If you want an OC to be a Brotherhood member, go ahead: age doesn't matter with them, as they are actively recruiting..
  
  
• Avatars are 250 x 250, and you do need one with a real life face claim. No anime or cartoon characters.
• Signatures are not needed, but if you do chose to use one, make sure it doesn't stretch the page.
• Word count minimum is two-hundred and fifty words per roleplay post.
• Human/mutant/alien characters only. No talking animals or plants.
