MY NAME IS { jubilation lee }
but some people know me better as { j u b i l e e }
When people see me, they notice...
Jubilation stands at five feet and five inches tall. She has short black hair, though she sometimes wears extensions to make her hair longer. Her eyes used to be brown, but when she was transformed into a vampire years ago, they turned red. She weighs around one-hundred and fifteen pounds. She's built thin and slender, her powers making up for any physical strength she lacks due to her build. What stands out the most about her is, of course, her red eyes and fangs.
When they talk to me, though, they might make note of...
Jubilation has always been a fun-loving and caring person. When she was a mutant, she was proud of it and has continued to support mutants during her lifetime. Family means everything to her and she considers the X-Men to be her family. She's very protective over her family, especially her adopted son. She can be a fierce warrior in battle, but has a gentle touch when it comes to guiding young mutants. She is one-hundred percent loyal and faithful, a truly amazing person to have by your side. She has shown tremendous strength in suppressing her urges as a vampire. Through the years, she has grown to become a more serious adult, however she has managed to keep the fun-loving and sometimes carefree attitude she occasionally had as a teenager and has remained a very positive person despite all she has been through.
Now, as for those people I'm related to, well, I've got...
Jubilation's biological parents were Chinese immigrants that lived in Los Angeles, California, but they have been deceased for many years now. She has a paternal aunt named Hope that she had thought had passed away. The X-Men have become her surrogate family with Logan Howlett, aka Wolverine, becoming like a father to her. She also has an adopted son, Shogo Lee, who would be around his late-teens to early twenties now.
The things I'm good at? Glad you asked...
Jubilation is a fully trained member of the X-Men and graduate student of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. She is highly trained in hand-to-hand combat and could hold her own in a fight, even without her powers. Though she rarely takes charge, she isn't a terrible leader and could lead and guide new mutants. Having been a student at one time and young when she came to the X-Men, she has an uncanny ability to connect with current students and understand their situations. She has a strong will power which allows her to resist her vampire urges for blood.
But, well, I'm not completely perfect...
While she can suppress her urges, she doesn't have her vampire self fully under control. The lust for blood will always be with her no matter how much she pushes it back. Even just teaching in a classroom full of students can prove to be a challenge for her. She can at times be overly protective over her son, having feared for a long time that someone would take him from her. While she is confident and strong, she isn't perfect. She has weak moments like everyone else. She hates having to drink blood and it can become a depressing factor in her life, easily collapsing her mood.
I guess you want to know about what sets me apart from most of the population, huh? Well...
Since being turned to a vampire, Jubilee has gained a new set of powers from her former mutant abilities. While she no longer has pyrokinesis, she has gained several abilities. She is immortal and can't die unless staked, decapitated, or exposed to fire (stated more clearly below). She has an infectious bite that allows her to turn humans into vampires with a simple bite. This allows her teeth to turn into razor-sharp fangs to better-allow her to draw blood. She gained several superhuman abilities which include strength, speed, stamina, agility, and reflexes. Her durability is extremely tough and it takes a lot to physically harm her. She occasionally drinks bottles of Wolverine's blood, which gives her a sense of his healing factor afterwards. Though the origin of this ability is blurry, she can also turn into mist. This ability allows her to escape injury and travel around while intangible. It is thought to be perhaps a result of another vampire ability, but could also be from drinking Wolverine's blood or being a former mutant. The mist form isn't a power she uses often. Awesome, right? Well, not all the time...
As a vampire, Jubilation suffers from an allergy to silver. A silver weapon can severely injure her and even possibly kill her. Sunlight is toxic to her. She gained some resistance due to the healing factor in Wolverine's blood, however she can only withstand small amounts of sunlight. Religious symbols can also negatively affect her, though none have been used against her yet. Though she's a vampire, she can be killed by a wood stake to her heart, decapitation, or by being exposed to fire. (Helpful source: Marvel wikia)
If you see me out in the street, you'd notice I wear...
Jubilee's costume consists of a long-sleeved black shirt and black pants. She wears a long yellow trench-coat over the shirt, and black boots on her feet with black gloves on her hands. She has pink sunglasses that she usually wears on top of her head and sometimes over her eyes. Her civilian clothing style consists of anything that she likes. She has been known to wear a simple t-shirt and jeans to a formal dress when the occasion calls for it. Though no longer a teenager, she usually can be found dressing like one. She's still able to pull off a graphic t-shirt, shorts, and some leggings.
Maybe some of that comes from my past...
Jubilation Lee is a Chinese-American girl who was born in Los Angeles, California, where she lived with her wealthy immigrant parents. An immensely talented gymnast, she was believed to have the potential to participate in the Olympic Games. However, Jubilation used her agility engaging in petty robberies with her best friend, making their escape on their roller blades. Most of her time was spent in malls. One day, Jubilee was trapped in a dead-end alley by a pair of mall cops. Fearing juvenile detention, and her parents‘ reaction, she panicked and her mutant powers activated for the first time, destroying the entire alley.
Jubilee told her parents about her strange new abilities, but it didn’t seem to be a problem, as she soon learned how to control it to a limited degree. However, her parents were later murdered by criminals Reno and Molokai, hired by Hunter Brawn, who disguised the murder as a car accident. Jubilee was handed over to a couple in the neighborhood, but soon ran away to live at the closest thing that felt like home, the mall. There she survived by giving demonstrations of her mutant plasmoid powers for spare change, impressing many with her powers, and through petty theft. It was while living in this mall that she would first encounter the X-Men, and begin on her path as a superhero.
Jubilee has gone through many changes in her life. She was introduced in the Uncanny X-Men but it was some time before she actually became an X-Man. In the meantime she became one of most famous sidekicks in the early nineties fighting by Wolverine's side. She eventually joined the X-Men as part of that group's "Blue Team" when they were separated into two teams. Jubilee, at the time, was the youngest X-Man. Extremely energetic and outgoing, Jubilee had no qualms when it came to showing her emotions. Adopting a unique style, Jubilee didn't wear a standard X-Men uniform, instead wearing her trademark yellow coat, sunglasses, gloves and boots. Although she hasn't used this costume throughout her life with the X-Men, all her costumes have incorporated aspects of her classic costume, in particular her yellow coat. After being part of the X-Men for quite a while, Jubilee became a founding member of Generation X, a team of 'neo-mutants', who needed training in their powers. Jubilee was part of the team for its entire existence, establishing new relationships and developing her powers, becoming one of the most powerful members of the team. By the time the school was closed and the team disbanded, Jubilee had matured, moving to Los Angeles and becoming a part of the short-lived X-Corps. One of Jubilee's closest brushes with death came when she was crucified by the mutant-hating Church of Humanity, an event which resulted in the death of her former Generation X team-mate Angelo " Skin" Espinosa. Skin's death had a profound effect on Jubilee, sending her into an emotional spiral where she went from feeling tremendously guilty to acting rebellious and committing petty crimes. Cyclops eventually decided that Jubilee needed a "mental break" and didn't assign her to any of the X-teams.
After M-Day, Jubilee lost her mutant powers, but still remained involved with mutant affairs (running both a pro-mutant newsletter and a halfway house for depowered mutants). Jubilee then became the founding member and field leader of a new version of the New Warriors, a team of former mutants, given powers through technologically-enhanced suits. During her time on the team, Jubilee became very outspoken in her disapproval of leader Night Thrasher's underhanded and suspicious actions, resulting in an increasing amount of conflict between the two. She had become more mature and driven, taking her role as the team's field leader very seriously. After the team disbanded, Jubilee became a victim of a vampire suicide attack targeting her, causing her to become infected and transform into a vampire. She briefly turned on the X-Men but was eventually defeated and captured. For a while Jubilee was undergoing rehabilitation for her vampiric urges, using the healing factor in Wolverine's blood to keep her from losing control. For quite some time, Jubilee became a more dark, brooding individual. She struggled to fit in as neither really a human or a mutant. However, with the help of Wolverine, X-23, Gambit, and other friends in the X-Men, she more or less regained an appreciation of living life to the fullest, and once again became a valued and caring member of the X-Team. Jubilee later stayed with Raizo Kodo and his Forgiven, learning to control herself without relying on Wolverine's blood, and better practicing her vampire abilities. Jubilee recently returned to the X-Men, this time, with an orphaned baby in tow. A teenage vampire, part mutant-part human, X-Man, and now adoptive mother, Jubilee has yet again found her way back home and in the heat of action.

You want to meet me? It's your lucky day - here's a sneak peek...
Jubilation loved her job. She got to be an X-Men and teach the next generation of X-Men. Maybe they wouldn't become X-Men - they might not want that or the world might not need X-Men by that time - but she was the one training them. She was teaching them like Professor Xavier had once taught her. She was teaching them to survive in a world that could be so cruel, but to also see that glimmer of hope that always remained. That was how she could always enter her classroom with a bright smile on her face. That was how she could always look to the students and tell them that everything was going to be okay, even when she wasn't sure herself.
Because she knew that there would always be hope. There was always a choice in life. She could count on that just like she could always count on one student asking if she sparkled in the sunlight at the beginning of a new school year. It didn't bother her. It was part of life and she had become used to it. If she felt down, she would usually find Shogo and see how his day was going. She could coddle him, she knew that, but she didn't think he entirely minded. It didn't matter that they weren't related by blood. They were family.
Her day had been going well until the sound of an explosion jostled her back to reality. She was standing outside of the Danger Room, having stepped out and left a small group of students in there in order to make what she felt was an important phone call. Wolverine was out of town and she wanted to check up on him. Besides, she had left the Danger Room on a low level. Surely the second year students could handle it. What could go wrong?
She almost dropped her phone at the sound of the explosion. She quickly slipped it back into her back pocket and darted into the Danger Room. "What the hell?!" she couldn't help exclaiming, coming to a halt as some smoke cleared. She placed her hand on her hips and frowned at the sight of the students sprawled on the floor, groaning from headaches. They were alive and looked alright aside from some scratches and bruises and most likely a ringing in their ears. She noticed they were all glaring at one of the students. A trouble maker, she remembered. He looked guilty.
She set to the controls and deactivated the room before it had time to realize that the students weren't out-cold. She noticed that someone had messed with the controls. "And see this is why the teachers control the Danger Room," she chimed in, casting a glance to the students as they got to their feet. She folded her arms across her chest and narrowed her red eyes at them. Now wasn't the time for the happy-go-lucky teacher they were used to. Now was the time for a much needed lesson that could end up saving their lives.
"You can all think over this in detention with me later today for a week," she scolded, raising a hand to silence them when they began to protest. "One of you messed with the controls and none of you tried to stop that student." She made a mental note to come up with some punishment during detention. "You're all a team, you have to act like one. If one of you gets in trouble, you all do. One mistake by one person could get you all killed in the field." She sighed and gave them a smile. "Not that there's a guarantee you'll ever be sent to the field, but it's better to learn it here than in an actual dangerous situation."
And the person behind the curtain reveals themselves...
My name is Tiger. If you need to get ahold of me, you may PM me. My favorite color is red and I've been roleplaying for over four years now.
And we got here by...
I know the admin from another site and I did see an ad on another site as well. All in all, I'm just a total sucker for Apollo's sites.
