MY NAME IS { Ashton Kade Elestren }
but some people know me better as { Chaos }
When people see me, they notice...
Ashton is a beautiful young lady of 17 years. She is 5 foot 2 inches and only weighs 100 pounds. Being a star gymnast and all star flyer, she must be strong yet lightweight. Thankfully, her body type is very lean yet toned. Let's just say she looks great in a bikini.
Ashton has gorgeous mix matched eyes. One is a deep maroon while the other is a light green; Her eyes were originally green but when she discovered her mutation one eye darkened. Ash always wears a colored contact in that eye, but due to its original dark hue, all contacts simply give the iris a deep blue color. Her hair is golden brown and naturally wavy. Since nearly all her activities are located under fluorescent lighting, Ashton has fairly pale skin.

When they talk to me, though, they might make note of...
Ashton has two sides to her personality, the happy and fun side, then the shy and smart side. On the first side she is a very strong and outspoken girl. She'll never not tell you what she's thinking. She's a very good liar and prides herself in her stealth (or in her younger years, her ability to snoop around for information, such as the pin code to her father debit card.). Despite these, on the other side, Ashton is insecure and rather secluded. While it's one thing to say what's on your mind, it's another thing say what you feel. Ashton never shares how she feels and it's almost impossible to guess.
Ashton likes to read and study, not only her skills but her schooling as well. She, now-a-days, rarely sees her father or friends, so when she does, she's thrilled. However, she does feel awkward when she enters her old room. She feels as if the old Ashton is gone and the new Ashton isn't like her old self at all. One of her favorite things to do is read; she can start a book and finish it in one go, if she's not distracted. Ashton always fears losing control and/or hurting someone. She hates bugs too but that's the least of her worries.
Now, as for those people I'm related to, well, I've got...
Ashton has only one living relative that she remains in contact with, her father, Joshua Kade Elestren. Her mother, Samantha Elestren, died while giving birth. Any other realities were forgotten as the Elestrens fled from the grieve of Samantha's loss. Although Ashton has never had a pet, she's always wanted one! She's even made some reasonable requests: Giraffe, alligator, pony, fox. She still wonders why she hasn't gotten one yet...
The things I'm good at? Glad you asked...
Ashton has many strengths. First of all, she's a very good gymnast. She's amazingly flexible and can tumble like nobody's business. Don't believe me? Go check that closet full of metals.
Second, she's an All-Star Flyer. Her cheer squad has one many awards, their biggest being grand prize at Worlds. Cheerleading is in her heart, soul and spirit.
Lastly, despite being a social butterfly and popular prep, Ashton is very smart. She aced every science class she's ever taken, her specialty being biology and human anatomy. Coming from a family of doctors, one wouldn't except anything different.

But, well, I'm not completely perfect...
Ever since that fateful day, Ashton has changed. Though her personality remains intact her faith and trust has been altered drastically. She feels as if the old Ashton is gone and now she's trying to recreate a new self. This is due to her newfound powers. After destroying the school, she heard that some of the students escaped. Some. Several body's were never found while many others couldn't even be claimed. This haunts Ashton to no end; She finds those students in her nightmares, even in her head.
The voices, they're another thing. Ever since they've started, Ashton's had the feeling she was going crazy. Usually she can tell wether the voice is in her head or not, but sometimes it becomes impossible to tell. This leaves Ashton in a rather tough position. She doesn't want anyone to know of the voices so she does her best to hide them; this can make her come off as touchy and fringed.

I guess you want to know about what sets me apart from most of the population, huh? Well...
Ashton has the power of Destruction Dominion, or as she calls it, Control of the black flame. The ability to destroy anything and remake it into the user's image. The user is given domain over anything that they may choose to destroy and brought back into existence. Mind you, Ashton is a very inexperienced user and does not have all these powers, yet.
Ashton can radiate large amounts of energy in the form of black flames. These flames can cause massive damage to both humans and objects alike. The flames look just like fire, but they aren't; they burn the same, but it's more of an icy burn, cold and dark. These flames don't hurt Ashton but it's rather hard for her to control them at times, due to certain draw backs of the power. Now these flames don't destroy anything unless Ashton wills it. In reality, these flames are simply an extension of herself and although she likes to think they're their own being, they are not.
Ashton can destroy objects and harm people with only minor problems, it's the recreating part she struggles with. As it's one thing to demolish buildings and structures, it's another thing to reverse the damage on a human. Ashton has the potential to remove the wound inflicted on someone and either reflect it onto her or another person. This is rather helpful on the battle field as she can literally use the enemies attack against them.
In an overview, Ashton can create destructive energy and use said energy to destroy objects or people. She can reverse some damage done to others, such as small cuts, burns or bruises, but cannot and has not healed anything bigger than such.

Awesome, right? Well, not all the time...
Like any mutant, Ashton's 'gift' has many draw backs. With all users of Destruction Dominion, come the ever dreaded voices of the black flame. The black flame often makes it's user go mad; With such destructive energy radiating around you, it's hard to ignore it. This can be challenging, multiple voices in your heading all saying one thing, Destroy. This calls for serious meditation and focus, but not everyone can control the urges all the time. It's common for a DD user to lose control for a small while and rampage. This can be easily avoided by routine trips to the danger room.
Secondly, Ashton is not a healer nor does she have healing abilities. Her powers give her the potential to remove any damage inflicted on a person, with a heavy price. Any wound she wishes to remove has to go somewhere; No matter if she reflects it on herself or another, it will inflict them two fold. This means a tiny scratch will lengthen and deepen to a large cut. Ashton has no accelerated healing so this part of her power can be awfully troubling; Help your comrade but hurt yourself two times worse, or leave them to fend for themselves.
Thirdly, Ashton can only reverse damage done to people. Her power, DD, gives her the potential to reshape objects she destroys, but she cannot do this. Any damage she inflicts on, say a building, cannot be reversed; The building will remain rubble no matter how hard she tries.
Lastly, the amount of DD energy left after each usage varies. For example, destroying a building will be time consuming and render Ashton exhausted while destroying a chair would take much less time and use little energy. This calls for not only the size of her target but the material as well; A wooden door would be no problem compared to a metal door just as paper or fabric is nothing compared to bone or muscle.
Once her DD energy is spent, Ashton will be rendered useless and exhausted to the point of losing conscious. When she uses up all her energy, it could take from a single day to several days for her to regain it. This is a very vulnerable time for her, in which she will remain unconscious and defenseless until all her energy returns.
If you see me out in the street, you'd notice I wear...
Like most girls of her age, Ashton wants to look fashionable yet somewhat comfortable. Her outfits conclude of name brand, designer tops with some sort of pants or tights and boots, this way she looks cute but comfy as well. As for uniform, it'll have to be modified for more reasons than one, but the typical x-man uniform will do.
Maybe some of that comes from my past...
Ashton was born on sunny afternoon in Helena, Montana. She was birthed to two loving parents, Dr. Joshua Kade Elestren and Dr. Samantha Elestren. Both doctors never expected to have a kid due to Dr. Samantha's poor health, but never the less, little Ashton Kade Elestren was born. Sadly, Dr. Samantha died a few days after her daughters birth due to heart failure. Joshua was devastated and moved him and his daughter to a new city by the name of Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Elestren was a very successful doctor, so he never had to look far for work. Moving to a city would be ideal for both; Dr. Elestren would get better job opportunities and Ashton was far too young to remember Montana at all, making the move extremely easy.
When Ashton was old enough, she was sent to a prestigious elementary school where she was loved by each teacher. Frankly, Everyone who met Ashton, spoiled her. She got what ever she wanted and got away with murder!
It was hard with out a mother figure. Ashton wore silly outfits her father picked out for her and often was made fun of by most students for dressing 'like a baby'. Such trivial things never seemed to bother her, that is, until she grew older.
During her middle school years, Ashton became quite a popular young lady, One could say she 'ruled the school'. She began to look more grown up as well as act it. This was because of jealousy. Ashton hated the feeling of being isolated and rejected. At the time, Dr. Elestren hired a young nanny who helped with little Ashton by dressing her up and teaching her the 'ways of fashion'. She began paying more attention to magazines and fashion shows. However, one actress in particular caught her eye: Odette Annable. Odette was perfect in the eyes of this little girl, not to mention how vaguely similar they looked. Ashton saw Odette as a mother figure and took up the actresses style and hair cut. After a few weeks her classmates began to notice her drastic change and liked it. Kids no longer made fun of her and even went as far as offering her friendship. Ashton loved the new feeling and vowed to never be unpopular again. Despite her knew found popularity, She remained diligent in her studies due to her fathers wishes.
Finally, in high school, much changed. Ashton became the gorgeous and popular girl who had the best of everything. She could drive now as well as have her own job, but who needed one when she had a credit card linked to her wealthy fathers bank account? She was a social butterfly; Out every weekend with friends, finding time for her studies, even finding time for just herself. But this was short lived.
One day, after school, Ashton came home like she would any other day. She was in her room when the voices first started; No one knows for sure what triggered them, just that she'd never be the same. They whispered, taunted, screamed, then cried. Ashton leaned towards the TV, the voices filling her head, motivating her as she grabbed the electronic off its stand and flung it to the ground. As the object made contact with the floor, the first wave of darkness hit. The ground shook violently, sending most of Ashton's possessions crashing to the floor. She struggled to the door, screaming for her father when the wave ended. Just as she was relaxing, another wave hit. This time, the voices controlled her. Ashton was forced to the ground, ears covered and screaming, until silence. She never got the explanation for what happened and the voices were gone, so why worry? Life continued.
She didn't meet the X-men until the day the voices drowned her. It was a normal day, like any other. Ashton drive to school in her mustang, Gucci sunglasses on her face. She strode to the library ready to collect this weeks big reads when it started. The voices. They slowly grew until Ashton couldn't hear her surroundings; that's when she lost it. The school was the victim in her rampage, it was torn to pieces as she let the voices control her. It wasn't until she met Charles Xavier and was contained by the X-men did the voices lower to whispers.
After this traumatic experience, Ashton fell into slight depression. She'd learned that several students never made it out of the building, a couple of which were friends. Ashton felt as if everything was her fault, and it was. She came out of her slump slightly as she learned of the academy and other mutants with stories like hers. She became hopeful and began to like the idea of starting over. Despite her new vigor, Ashton will never be able to forget the lives she took and the physical and emotional ruins she created.
You want to meet me? It's your lucky day - here's a sneak peek...
A petite girl strode through the long hallway of doors, wavy hair bouncing with each step. She carried very little with her, a suit case and a simple carry on, neither big in size. This girl wore a semi-sheer Dolman top with light wash skinnys and knee high brown boots; Clearly she knew a thing or two on fashion. Her hair was a bright caramel brown and hung off her shoulders in a wavy shroud, looking glossy and well kemp, framing her face in a way that brought out her eyes wonderfully. Now these weren't normal eyes, although they were pretty. One was blue but not just any blue. The kind of blue that lives in the ocean: deep, secretive and cold. The other was green. The kind of green you see in the grass of a lush meadow: Bright, beautiful and warm. This was Ashton Elestren. She swiveled her head side to side in a constant rhythm, checking each door for a certain number. destroy After sometime of this, the swivels stopped. She came to a halt by a large door and carefully let herself in.
The room was quite large and barren except for a set of twin beds, two rather small book shelves, two bed side tables, and each a matching dresser. Both beds were located directly in each opposing corner, the first a mirror image of the other. damage Next to the bed was a lone bedside table and at the foot, a small bookcase. The only other thing in the room was a large window located between the beds in the center of the room with an excellent view of the city. crush
Ashton walked cautiously towards the bed on the left and set her luggage atop it. Unzipping the suitcase revealed numerous expensive-looking books, each carefully placed with a clear film over them, made of some flame retardant material; Books like these were very hard to come by, she could buy clothes later on. burn This issue was more psychological than it seemed. Ashton didn't feel the same as she used to, almost as if the glimmer of popularity and nice clothes was replaced by a more simplistic feeling. She'd gotten rid of most her clothes, replacing them with books. The old Ashton was gone and new Ashton was being created. demolish
She then placed each book on the bookshelf, having some trouble fitting them all in; It would be replaced with a couple large ones soon. After the books were organized, Ashton hid her suit case in the closet and turned towards her carry on. shred This bag held her sundries: Some articles of clothing, two pairs of shoes, a few hair tools, various picture frames, few personal items, and some toiletries. She emptied the bag by dumping it on her bed before putting each item in its intended spot. Last but not least she turned towards the personals. Aston placed a small glass picture frame of her and a smiling man on the bed side table. A similar frame was set along side the first, the contents of this one a smiling woman with the same grinning man. kill The last item on her bed was her escape, one of the only things that could drown the voices out; a large, expensive Beats by Dre speaker in a glossy red. One would wonder how this speaker fit in her bag if they weren't too distracted by her choice of music. Upon turning the electronic on, the heavy melodic style of Lorde's Buzzcut Season filled the silence.

I remember when your head caught flame
It kissed your scalp and caressed your brain
Well you laughed baby it's okay
It's Buzzcut season anyway

Ashton grabbed a particular black book, gold writing elegantly scripted in the center of the cover, off the shelf. It was titled simply The Raven, a classical and dark work by the immortal Edgar Allen Poe. Before she sat down with said book, Ashton took a moment to 'admire' her room. It wasn't as personalized as she would like, but it would have to do. After a sigh, she plopped her self down on the covered bed and cracked open one of her most read books, all the while her music played.
