MY NAME IS { ilmarenin, mann, tane }
but some people know me better as { w i n g }
When people see me, they notice...
Ilmarenin is a tall, skinny young man - he's about 6'1" on a good day, and 130 pounds. For those not in the know, that's very underweight for someone of his height, but that's mostly because he's both very skinny anyway, and his bones are very light. Not quite hollow, but close.
His eyes are a dark green, going well with his dark brown hair and green skin. He's got some acne still hanging around from his teenage years and few birthmarks and moles, the only really visible one of which is the one on his right cheek. Despite not growing much body hair, he keeps a neatly-trimmed beard.
One of the more immediately noticeable things about the young man is that he has a pair of black wings growing out of his back - they sprout from about his shoulder blades, and are about six and half feet long and very wide. Ilmarenin has some difficulty keeping them groomed, but luckily stains don't show up on black.

When they talk to me, though, they might make note of...
(Personality! How does your character feel about mutants and/or humans? Do they have a soft spot for turtles and rainbows, or are they out-and-out rude and simply make no lies about it? Dramatics, dullness, childishness - details are loved.)
Now, as for those people I'm related to, well, I've got...
Both of his parents are alive, if not well - his father has cancer of the lungs. His two younger siblings, both girls, are doing well too. He has uncles and aunts that he sees sporadically, but he's not very close to them. No pets for Ilmarenin, sadly, though he's always wanted a dog.
The things I'm good at? Glad you asked...
He's good at leading people, but he's never lead them into battle, or gotten into many fights - being the kid with wings as a child, he was usually just shunned, not bullied actively. So he's got the ideas down - plans of attack, who works best with whom, all of the theoretical. Ilmarenin is also a very roganized man; he knows where everything in his room is, even if it's a mess, and can tell you, fairly accurately, where everything in the house is located as well. If he stays at any place long enough, he'll go looking - snooping - to figure out where everything is. It's a habit, and one he's proud of.
Besides useful skills, he's got some random things he's good at, like everyone. Ilmernin has a good eye for making things fit. He can tell if a paper or card will or won't fit into an envelope, if someone can fit on a chair comfortably - if he could fit in a space between branches, or on a rooftop. Not really useful in most situations, but in everyday life it can come in handy every once in a while.

But, well, I'm not completely perfect...
Ilmerenin can be - hard. He's not good at dealing with imperfection or screw-ups, not in other people or himself. He and his siblings were all taught to do things right the first time so you didn't have to do them again, and so you could help other people by not needing help either. he's got a bit of a hang-up about it - feels the need to take over things when other people aren't doing them right - they're going too slow, or not measuring correctly, whatever.
He's also impatient - not only with imperfection, but also with - well, anything. People being annoying, or rude, or something taking longer than it has to, it doesn't matter, he hates it.

I guess you want to know about what sets me apart from most of the population, huh? Well...
(Now we get to the fun part - your characters' mutation! Remember: two main mutations are allowed unless you get permission for more (ask a member of the staff). As many secondary mutations as you can handle are allowed.
For example: Wolverine's claws are his primary mutation. His secondaries are his healing factors and heightened senses.
A link to a possibly helpful list of powers can be found in the Power Claim thread!)
Awesome, right? Well, not all the time...
(Power-related weaknesses, kiddies. Cyclops gets bad migraines, Quicksilver has to fuel up sometime between country-wide runs and so on. Lack of control over their power does decidedly count as a weakness - but it can't be their only one.)
If you see me out in the street, you'd notice I wear...
(Clothes, clothes, clothes. If they have a costume design, put it in here - just specify what it is. If they don't, you still have to put down what your character wears casually - multi-layered shirts, daisy-dukes, robes, yadda yadda.)
Maybe some of that comes from my past...
(Your history, my friends, cannot simply be a two-line festival of woe. Not everyone's parents die while getting mugged - but not everyone's parents are exactly totally accepting, either. Whatever you put down, at least a paragraph is required, but more makes your application that much better.
Canon note: Please make sure to research at least the basics of your character, whatever version or mash of versions you use. Try to keep it at least a little realistic - Logan did not evolve from an actual wolverine, for instance, not matter what the eighties would have you believe.)
You want to meet me? It's your lucky day - here's a sneak peek...
(Role-play example here, if you would be so kind. Just like the minimum word count, at least 200 words are needed - but as always, more is loved. This has to be written as the character you're making the application for - no copy+pasting from another character, no using a rp example from another site altogether. Thank you!)
And the person behind the curtain reveals themselves...
I'm Apollo - the Admin, also playing Toad.
And we got here by...
